What does hertzer GmbH do?
hertzer GmbH plans and produces scenographic builds: stage sets, scenery and stage machinery as well as exhibition, trade-fair and brand architecture, hands-on exhibits and art-in-architecture projects. Quite a range, in other words. hertzer has its own planning office for engineering and project planning and its own workshops in which everything is built. For specialist tasks, hertzer works with experts and long-standing partner companies.
Where is hertzer GmbH based?
In Berlin-Pankow, at Buchholzer Straße 63 D, 13156 Berlin, with around 3,000 m² of workshop and studio space on a site of 7,000 m² in total, including outdoor storage.

Since 1994. The company is owner-managed and has been working across Europe for more than three decades.
Which trades does hertzer bring together under one roof?
Metal construction and metalwork, timber construction and joinery, scenic decoration, scenic painting, and stage and exhibition technology.
What if my project has requirements that hertzer’s workshops don’t cover?
Over the years we have built up a proven network of partner companies and specialist planners for most of the trades involved in stage productions and exhibition projects. Acting as general contractor is everyday business for us. Just get in touch.
Does hertzer GmbH also realise art in architecture?
Yes. As a fabrication partner for artists, we realise art in architecture, sculptures and installations for public and private buildings - from technical development and engineering through fabrication to installation.
Is hertzer GmbH certified?
Yes. As a metal fabrication company, hertzer is certified to EN 1090-2 for steel in execution classes EXC1 and EXC2, and to EN 1090-3 for aluminium in EXC1.
Who does hertzer GmbH build for?
For opera houses, theatres, festival theatres and independent companies, museums, scientific institutions and brands - including the Bayreuth Festival, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, Sasha Waltz & Guests and Florentina Holzinger. The list could easily go on.
Does hertzer GmbH work across Europe?
